Local Table

About Local

I am the owner of The Local Table and have lived in Acton for twenty years having moved here for a better quality of life and its great school system. I chose to purchase and transform a restaurant in Acton because I believed I could create a desirable place to eat and socialize for residents as well as a means for me to continue my long-standing support of non-profit causes.

My husband and I guided our three children into Merriam through the high school and later, two foster children who had been abandoned in the community. I wrote Opinion columns for The Beacon during this time, often capturing their perspectives since the five of them were between the ages of 12 and 15. I was the co-owner and CEO of a software company in Concord for eight years; after selling it in 2002, I transitioned to private consulting, became CEO of a non-profit and then Managing Director of a services company that provided in-home care for children and adults.
