I am a folk artist and have been exhibiting and curating folk arts in New England museums, libraries, schools and community places for several  years. I also have a Masters degree in English literature.  I enjoy writing about other artists and their creative pursuits in our community.

In the past, I have worked in Africa with the United Nations, and am currently active with my town's Cultural Council. I live in Acton, MA with my husband and two sons.

Most of my work is in the traditional Madhubani style which is several centuries old and is still used in rural parts of eastern India to decorate the mud walls in villages.  This art uses characterized by vibrant, earthy colors and shapes to convey folklores and stories from the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.
