CONCERT DEBUT: CONTAINER MAN All Stars

Several of the region’s most prominent  experimental musicians – part of a newly formed ensemble, CONTAINER MAN All Stars – will explore the sound potential of CONTAINER MAN (CM) at The Quarry (68 Quarry Road, Acton MA), on December 1, 2013 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. CM is a colossal kinetic sculpture that contains 14 amplified mechanical musical instruments installed on a 40 foot shipping container. A donation of $10 is appreciated.

Selected from among the participants in the CM Music Expo
(November 2 – 3, 2013), several of the musicians were prizewinners in
that competition. The musicians’ backgrounds include classical “new
music,” Krautrock, sampling, robotics, and electro-acoustic.

Coordinated by Walter Wright, the CONTAINER MAN All Stars musicians are: Ryan Baker, Marc Bisson, Scott Barton, Kein Dacey, Alexandria Derderian, Jenifer Gelineau, Kelly Grotke, Steven Hastings-King, Lee Martin, Walter Wright, and Dei Xhrist. The sound engineer is Mark Wessel.
