Help Build a Trail on Acton's Conservation Lands.

How about a morning working in the woods?

Acton has acquired some new conservation lands over the last few years. Come help  clear a trail in one of these parcels. Acton's Land Stewardship Committee looks out after the Town's conservation land, and has agreed on the location of a new trail.  To find out where the site is so that you can help out with clearing it, or to ask any other questions, contact Jim Snyder-Grant at jimsg@newview.org or 508 572-2985.

What to Bring

We won't need to dig in to the soil much: the main tools we need are loppers, clippers, weed wrenches and rakes. We just need to get the small branches, trees, and leaves out of the way. The big stuff has already been cut with a chainsaw, and the exact route of the trail has been marked with flags.

Don't forget the usual: water, a snack, protection for arms, legs & hands, closed-toe shoes, common sense, enthusiasm and humor.  We'll have a great time.
Let me know if you are coming, and what tools you are bringing if any.
