Get the Details on the A-B United Way’s Day of Caring

50-plus volunteers will donate time and effort to eight local project sites.

This Thursday, Sept. 19, more than 50 volunteers from local businesses, high schools and the Acton-Boxborough United Way will rally to support eight local project sites.

After meeting for a kick-off breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. at The Local Table restaurant in West Acton, groups of volunteers will divide among the following locations and projects:

  • Acton Housing Authority for fall cleanup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Boxborough Council on Aging for community cleanup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Discovery Museums for fall cleanup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • HGRM for warehouse assistance from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • MetroWest Legal Services for filing and clerical work from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Minuteman ARC for day services from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Minuteman Senior Services to deliver meals from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Mt. Calvary Community Supper to clean and organize the kitchen from 1 to 4 p.m.
