1. Acton Community Chorus - Open Rehearsal: At 7:30 p.m. this Monday, Sept. 16, at the Faith Evangelical Free Church, you can check out the Acton Community Chorus for the start of the group's 30th season at the first of two open rehearsals. Get the details here.
2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:
- Monday, Sept. 16 -- the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall
- Tuesday, Sept. 17 -- the Commission on Disabilities at 10:30 a.m. at Town Hall, the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall and Planning Board public hearings at 7:45 and 8:45 p.m. at Town Hall
- Wednesday, Sept. 18 -- the Conservation Commission at 7:15 p.m. at Town Hall
- Thursday, Sept. 19 -- a Historic District Commission public hearing at 8 p.m. at Town Hall
4. International Talk Like A Pirate Day: This Thursday, Sept. 19, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and you can celebrate it at the Discovery Museum where they'll have activities to learn pirate lingo and to make eye patches. Get the details here.
5. Acton Family Network's Kids Tag Sale: This Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Parker Damon Building's Upper Parking Lot on Charter Road, the Acton Family Network's Kids Tag Sale will begin at 8 a.m. Get the details here.
